Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

On a scale of 1-10??
I want to see Democratic leadership start preparing for the potential of a constitutional convention called by Trump. There needs to be a plan. It needs to be taken seriously.

I am such a believer in this. Down-ballot is the way.

It’s also how we build a sustainable future of good leaders and infrastructure to elect and support them, as well as the movements they represent.

We don’t just need strong candidates. We need strong organizers, managers, CoS, grassroots, etc.
I’ve been organizing in rural areas since the first Trump administration. Rural Dems can make the difference in races at the top of the ticket.

Republicans have all of the electorate they’re ever going to have. Organize to turn out 5% to 10% more Dems in rural spaces. Watch what happens…

They have their own TV channels, personalities, media. They deride fact checking and (well) moderated debate. They buy social media platforms to manipulate algorithms and amplify content that suits their preferred ends and worldview.

What they are threatened by are places of alignment + organizing

if your rep is GOP, try the script below. it’s timed to 45 seconds with bail out points. you’ll get an intern. be polite.

different issues motivate these fools, but they can be manipulated. at the very least, it can’t hurt to try.

by all means, rewrite or improvise.🧵

Main takeaway from my 2016-17 reflections was that there's gonna be a fire hose of horrendous news, particularly in the early days/weeks after Jan. 20. Nobody should try to respond to all of it, but everyone should find their niche. What's the one issue or tactic on which you can help lead us?

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

The fascists want everyone to be just as miserable and toxic as they are 24x7. Don't let them. Find joy, even a little, every damn day.

i'm very tired of reading these people whose basic stance is that they refuse to take ownership of the choices they make. "sanctimonious liberals" aren't making you do shit.
Opinion: I'm a non-MAGA conservative. Sanctimonious liberals make me want to vote Trump.
Kamala Harris and her fellow liberals are starting to sound a lot like Democrats did in 2016, and it's a huge turnoff to voters like me.
