I was debating with another Threader who believes it’s dangerous to compare Trump and MAGA to the Nazis. In my view, the greater risk lies in failing to highlight these parallels or underestimating the threat they pose.
Planned obsolescence epitomizes capitalism. A prime example is the 1920s Phoebus cartel, where light bulb makers cut lifespans from 2,500 to 1,000 hrs. A practice that today extends to electronics and appliances, driving environmental harm, increasing waste and depleting resources.

I’m not surprised Trump wants to expand the U.S., but I am surprised he knows where Greenland, Canada, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Panama Canal are. What happened? Did someone buy him a globe?

The whole Trump cabinet reminds me of when Bolsonaro wanted to appoint his son as Brazil’s ambassador to the U.S.

The irony is how the defense of billionaires cloaks systemic exploitation in the language of freedom. As if the billionaire’s yacht is somehow built on “fair trade” and not on the backs of workers coerced into selling their labor under a system designed to enrich the few at the expense of the many.

I wouldn’t resort to violence myself, but I honestly don’t care if someone decides to take out some worthless piece of trash. There are children being bombed and starving to death as we speak—not to mention the countless victims of predatory health insurance companies, their CEOs, and lobbyists.

We need a free, public, and universal healthcare system in the US to ensure that everyone has access to medical care. People should have the option to pay for private insurance if they choose, as competition between the public and private sectors will only improve the quality of care and lower costs
