Agreed in general. In this instance you have our best base stealer on first, a pitcher with a slow windup and delivery on the mound against which something like 29 of 33 base stealers had been successful. Seems like it screams for taking a pitch or two to let Mullins steal.

Why not let Mullins steal with Carlson up? Why not pinch hit? Why ask a guy that hasn’t had a sac bunt in 4 years to bunt? Bad decisions

Maybe he’ll have an “injury” so we can bring in a replacement without the embarrassment of benching him.
