Tip #4: Take Care of Your Body

@cmhayork.bsky.social notes that your physical and mental health are inexorably linked. Thus, you can’t choose between the two. You have to sleep enough, eat enough & nutritiously, stay hydrated, exercise, and get frequent fresh air (Chappell, 2022).

Tip #3: Make Self-Care A Daily Practice

Journaling, meditation, affirmations, etc. can help you process your emotions as you navigate this journey.

Reach out to a friend – or your therapist! A professional can arm you with tools such as grounding techniques to use on the day-to-day.

Tip #2: Celebrate The Wins

Feeling overwhelmed or like you're not doing enough? Listing your contributions to a certain cause can counteract this feeling.

If you're involved in community organizing, start meetings by compiling a list of what the collective has achieved to boost morale!
