Inti feels like safest place to start but Shinobi and Epiphany definitely jump out as fun places to start, potentially pairing either with Preordain.

I really appreciated that this deck could go fast or play midrange against the faster decks. Ulvenwald Tracker, Managorger Hydra, and Ripjaw Raptor were all better than I expected. Thanks for bringing it to the event!

Honestly I felt like I had most of what I needed. There were a couple cards I passed that I wished I had taken (Rishkar, Pelt Collector, and Elvish Mystic were all in one pack) and couple good ones in the list I never saw (Primal Might), but I was really happy with this list.

Overall, C4AC was an incredible experience, I met some very cool people and played very some cool cubes. I’ll definitely be attending the next one! For anyone is still looking to donate to a great cause, the donation link for the event is still open and can be found here: gofund.me/06d2e0de

These games were the most challenging I played all weekend, my deck felt pretty well-positioned in rounds 1 and 2 but it couldn’t overcome Field of the Dead in the finals. Shout-out to my fellow top 8, who were all really incredible players. (I'm standing on the top left!)

With a record of 7-2, I found myself seeded 7th for the top 8 draft of Mirts Cube by event organizer extraordinaire @scottmirts.upkeepnewyork.com‬. I started with Psychic Frog and ended up in Dimir with a pretty robust suite of sideboard options (I even missed a few in this picture!)

My 3rd draft was Sacred Geometry by @andy.luckypaper.co. This was definitely the most confident I felt drafting all weekend, noticed some signals and ended up in Selesnya. I made it to the finals but ended with a respectable 2-1. Qasali Pridemage is still awesome in 2025.

My 2nd draft was the UMA+ cube by @improphilo.bsky.social. Not my best draft but I managed to end up in a scrappy Mono Red madness deck. This deck went 2-1, but the highlight for me was activating Magmatic Channeler, discarding Fiery Temper, and revealing… my other two Fiery Tempers.

My 1st draft was of Twilight by @elon-bust.bsky.social. This was the cube I was most excited to try at the event and I had a great time with Boros Squadron Hawks. This deck got me my only 3-0 pin of the weekend and it was very fun to pilot. Hawks + Spirit Bonds was quite the combo.

Marsh Flats is maybe the best choice but I would definitely use Cogwork for Kroxa and Blood Crypt and hope for the best 🔥💀

For my pauper cube I’m probably going to test Sagu Wildling. Bushwhack and Go Forth have played pretty well and I see this as another option in that space. It’s a reasonable flicker target too once it’s in play.

Flick a Coin and Rat Out in WOE definitely had an impact on the playability of X/1s.

Mind Stone has gone in and out of my low rarity cubes but Prophetic Prism is my favorite, it helps with splashes but it also has some incidental synergy with effects like Kor Skyfisher or Emrakul’s Messenger.
