i will grant that many of the plains cities in colorado are def midwestern vibe though. but i draw the line at denver itself imo

fr though, denver feels culturally closer to places in the mountain west then somewhere like kansas city or cleveland or chicago or something, it just doesn’t have the midwestern vibe to it imo. if anything it’s closer to west coast culturally even.

i personally refuse to classify denver as midwestern. people there say soda, not pop. that’s enough evidence to support my stance i think (source: i am from denver, and i think it’s def mountain west… this is not copium i promise)

windows aero lives again

of course, there are still many in my life who call me my deadname, or call me “him” or “sir” or whatever. in some regards, “he” is still around and i have to get in from time to time, but it’s more like a mech simulator than a real mech now. “he” blew up in 2022, and I crawled out of the ashes.

back then, i was just kinda disconnected from life in general, and from myself, and i realize now that’s because i was always piloting some sort of mech, and only when i felt safe enough could the door open and let me take a breath for once. one day i just… never got back in.

idk, i think “he” died that day. part of me thinks “he” never existed as a concrete being, but mostly i think that “he” was real to some extent, and that portions of the real me bubbled out of the surface from time to time.

i see that person before mid-2022 (on the day my shell fell apart) as being dead, and mostly distinct. but also still me? like i think i retained everything that was real about “him”, and everything that was fake has been slowly falling away.

yeah, i really wanna get a thinkpad X41 (pictured) so i have both an early windows xp thinkpad and a windows xp tablet pc… that would fulfill two of my list items lol. i used to have a windows xp tablet pc convertible from Acer as a kid but it broke :(
