And a note to all authors in #consgen and #evolution: REPORT your standard errors, variance or confidence intervals in the papers for every summary stat that you provide!
In the meta-analyses we had to skip thousands of papers for this reason.

Human activities such as land use change, introduced disease, harvesting and harassment are negatively impacting genetic diversity within species. However, conservation management actions such as supplementation show promise in maintaining or even increasing genetic diversity.

We reviewed over 30 years of published literature and identified studies from 141 countries representing all terrestrial and most marine realms, including 628 species from 37 classes across 16 phyla to provide a field-wide view of how genetic diversity change is measured.
