Interesting synergy between studies showing language attrition in first-generation child migrants in their heritage language, probed in children (Paradis et al doi.org/10.1017/S030... ) vs in adults (Tomics et al doi.org/10.1075/lab.... ). Schooling in the HL is a protective effect in both cases.
