My cousin got into 40K during 3rd edition and got me interested - went to a GW in Potomac Mills (RIP that store) and got a demo game where I don’t think my space marines failed a single roll and I’ve been hooked since. Expanded into historicals too
Where did I start?
In 1997 I found this Warhammer Fantasy Battles box set in a downtown hobby shop and one of the local grognards was patient enough to teach me the game.
I've been hooked ever since.

My cousin got into 40K during 3rd edition and got me interested - went to a GW in Potomac Mills (RIP that store) and got a demo game where I don’t think my space marines failed a single roll and I’ve been hooked since. Expanded into historicals too
Played a game of Flames of War WW1 last night - the system works very well. My French pulled off a victory but it was close. Glad I got my 15mm figures to the table #paintingminiatures
