Hm. Recently I played a fangame—Pokemon Odyssey—and that recent experience really made me appreciate this guy: Weavile.
Of course, the version *I* used was a regional variant which was Ice/Poison instead of Ice/Dark (secondary image attached) which made it more unique by a Lot.

Started playing FF8 today. One of the core features of the game is the "Guardian Forces", which the game insists on abbreviating as "GF" and lemme tell you, that is the gift that keeps on giving.

Honestly Neku is the hardest for me because so much of his character changes throughout the game, so picking WHEN you take him from is really how you determine who to proxy him as.
imo if you take him from the end of the game, he's closest to one of the Tazris.

Beat's a bit harder since he doesn't have as clear and distinct fighting style as Shiki does, but he's more up-and-in-your-face about it.
Wulfgar of Icewind Dale is a choice, and so are Tuya Bearclaw and Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, but honestly i'm not happy with any of these.

This game is just Really Quite Good in terms of story. I'd highly recommend anyone at least look at the trailers for it, because it deserves that much.

Yes, I did buy it on Steam! And yes, some games do have a note like "The devs recommend playing this game on a controller", seen below is a screenshot of The Last Of Us's store page, with the relevant text in the bottom right. Nier Automata (2nd picture) does not have this note.
