Shop Small Saturday in Cottonwood Falls was a reminder of what makes Kansas special. Stopped by Harshman Creek, Tallgrass Antiques, Prairie PastTimes, and the courthouse lighting with Cowboy Santa. These hometown businesses and traditions keep our communities strong.

I am closely following the reports out of Washington and my heart is with the two National Guard soldiers who were shot near the White House. Their families, loved ones, and fellow service members are facing an unthinkable moment and I am holding them in my thoughts.

On this Veterans Day, we pause to recognize the extraordinary men and women who have served our nation with courage and honor.

Touring the Babcock & Wilcox plant in Humboldt today — impressive work happening right here in Kansas! Downtown Humboldt looks amazing, and I’m proud to have been part of its story through my work with Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area.

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize the rich history and ongoing contributions of the Native nations connected to the land we now call Kansas — including the Kaw, Osage, Kickapoo, and others whose stories remain central to our state’s identity.

As DC prepares for a shutdown and Kansans brace for the impact of failed leadership, we are getting another example of Roger Marshall putting national politics and appeasing the White House ahead of the real costs to Kansas families.

I was honored to join the Harvey County Democrats at their monthly meeting. Thank you for the warm welcome and the thoughtful questions — I truly believe that listening and answering directly is how we build trust and move Kansas forward.

One of my favorite parts of the Kansas State Fair is running into folks who remind me just how connected we all are across this state.

Let’s be clear, we condemn ALL political violence in all forms. Charlie Kirk’s death today at Utah Valley University is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to his wife Erika, their children, his family, and all affected by this tragedy.

Wait... isn't this guy supposed to be a licensed medical professional? Hmmmmm... 👀
Sen. Roger Marshall: "Look, President Trump picked Robert F Kennedy Jr to be a disrupter to the CDC, and that's exactly what he's doing ... in my humble opinion not every person needs every vaccine"

Heartbroken by the tragedy at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Our thoughts are with the children, families, first responders, and community facing unimaginable loss. Please hold them in your hearts.

Enjoyed hanging out with the “welcoming committee,” in Wichita today to greet Doc Marshall. He didn’t stop to meet with the 100+ Kansans who came to greet him.
Not a problem. I’m more than happy to do it!

Happy #NationalDogDay! Floyd joined our family during COVID, learned to load the washer, and loves bacon + Flint Hills hikes. His nemesis? Our orange tabby, Pluto.

I’m proud to share my story with the Kansas Reflector. Kansans deserve a real voice in Washington—one that shows up, listens, and fights for our communities, from rural towns to our biggest cities.

Honored to join friends & neighbors at the Johnson County Dems Gala last night. Kansans deserve leaders who show up & work beside us—not just chase cameras or deliver soundbites. We don’t back down, and I’ll never stop showing up for you.
