I'm on record thinking the Duffer brothers would be worthy of directing an Avengers movie after Stranger Things finishes, but it occurs to me: they have a production deal at Paramount right? And what does Par have the film rights to?

And so we come to season five, where Vecna's iconic visage gets to dominate a very ominous teaser, before your attention to him gets pulled away by everyone else on the main art. So yeah, I do have to give it to the teaser this time. Hopefully we'll get more before the season ends at least!

Interestingly, Lambert created another poster thanks to the season being split, and definitely had a lot more freedom to create a more iconic image, getting to emphasise Eleven and Vecna's emnity instead of the whole cast.

S4's teaser posters were pretty evocative, and the character posters similarly did a great job of conveying the feeling of '80s paperback art. Meanwhile, the main key art, while great, really starts to show the strain of so having so many characters now.

S3's teaser art is fine, the character posters do a much better job of capturing the lighting of the season though, which carries through to the final, spectacular key art.

S1, no contest, the main key art is iconic. S2 I think has a stronger teaser, but it's still blown out of the water by the main key art.

Was discussing the Planet of the Apes vs Fantastic Four comic with my stepdad, when it dawned on me, I complete forgot about how POTA inspired Jack Kirby's Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth. Digging deeper, I learned Kirby even pitched a POTA cartoon to Ruby-Spears during the '80s:

This is really interesting since I presumed the season would end with Pharazon interventing in the war between the Elves and Sauron, and bring the Dark Lord back to Numenor. Might Sauron's "capture" play out differently then?
