Right now, Australia's child #poverty rate is 16% - much higher than Scandinavia but half of UK's rate.

But current policy settings are pushing us towards the UK.

If the gutless Albanese govt continues to do nothing, they are presiding over the official end of 'the fair go'. #inequality #auspol
Child Poverty %

Denmark 2.4%
Finland 3.2%
Norway 3.6%
Sweden 3.6%

The UK 32.1%

Australia doesn't have a gas supply problem, we have a gas export problem.

Good to see the govt considering diverting export gas to the 🇦🇺 market. This should apply to existing projects. There's simply no need for new gas.

Looming east coast gas reserve could cut prices by 20pc
Labor is targeting a domestic reservation system that would ensure enough extra gas to bring down prices but not so much that producers rein in output.

Hey @albomp.bsky.social these values?

It’s well beyond time to drop this rancid alliance and this morally bankrupt country. They don’t give a shit about the Australian people and your commitment to them suggests you don’t either. #auspol

The media keeps pushing the lie that fossil fuels are cheaper than renewables. They’re not. CSIRO and AEMO show solar and wind are far cheaper. The fossil fuel lobby funds the lie, and half our grid’s already renewable. The transition’s happening, like it or not.
