This implies that changes to a predator population (e.g. from selective harvesting) will affect prey more than direct effects of environmental variables. Potentially this can impact the prey of pike cichlids, such as #guppies.

We found no effect of these #multistressors on any measure of feeding motivation. But we did find a strong effect of #animalpersonality variation, which was unlikely explained by body size or sex.

We manipulated temperature and light level within ecologically-relevant ranges; both are changing with #anthropogenic environmental change in the tropical rivers that pike cichlids inhabit. #fishsci
