man seeing everyone’s awesome wips on here really makes me want to re-learn how to knit 😭 but i told myself the next hobby i’m going to conquer is sewing. i NEED to learn how to work a gd sewing machine so i can alter/make my own clothes 😤 so intimidating tho lol :c

i actually crocheted that exact blanket once already lol — here it is finished 🩵 i just wanted to have one to keep at work & one to keep at home 🤪
blankey draped over chair :3 the yarn is dyed in a gradient so that the colors change from dark teal to almost-white to dark teal again. the crochet pattern gives the blanket a texture of alternating lines, bumps, and gaps same blankey, now draped over legs :3

🧶 so for WIP wednesday here’s a pic of BOTH my WIPs and they BOTH happen to be blue :D on the left is the beginnings of a shawl (i just started today), and the piece on the right is to be a chunky lap blanket 🥰
on the left: the humble (dinky) beginnings of a crocheted shawl, using variegated yarn in shades of blue and blueish-purple. the cotton/acrylic blend is slightly shiny in the lighting. on the right: the first ~1/4 of a lap blanket, also crochet. the yarn has a gradient which starts out dark blue, then gradually becomes near-white. the yarn is fuzzy and chunky with no shine in the lighting.

my headset kept snagging & getting caught in my hair. so i crocheted a solution :3 i’m not saying it’s the most beautiful thing lol, but by golly it works! 🧶
a hands-free headset with an earpiece & mic on one side, and on the other side is a rubber piece that rests against the wearer’s head. on the rubber piece there is a purple crocheted “sleeve” that prevents the rubber from getting caught on or stuck in the wearer’s hair.

my most recently finished crochet project and very first blanket :’) i thought i’d never finish this thing haha, but here we are!! 🧶
blanket crocheted with variegated purple blanket yarn - multiple shades of purple are randomly dispersed throughout. approximately 5’5” in length. this girl is THIQUE and HEAVY despite her small size, and maybe the warmest, cuddliest blanket on earth.

i also got really into crocheting potholders/hot pads. my fave thing about this pic is you can CLEARLY tell which potholder i accidentally changed hook sizes on hahaha. oh and BLUEBERRY PIE HOT PAD 🥹🥹 i love her
