I completely agree. It's sad. It would actually take care of a few of our issues now.

Not really "safer," but the other parents in the neighborhood knew you and whose kid you were. Neighbors would tell our parents if we were doing wrong. We had constant eyes on us. Other folks could chastise us, and our parents would further discipline us when we got home. We've lost that mentality.

Heavy on the unresolved conflict and projection.
