What sort of society is seriously wealthy, spends billions on weapons, detention operators & tax concessions for the wealthy while we expect nursing homes to feed people for $14 per day?

In the comments, I've included different views of this piece, as well as some other pieces of this hyper-realistic street artist.

This article opens with a 3-year-old forced to represent herself in court. We live in a fundamentally sick country.
There is no sight that more efficiently puts the lie to immigration “court” than the common sight of children “representing themselves.” Children too small to climb into the chair, children in pajamas who don’t know where they are, children not yet old enough to speak.

More than a dozen undocumented minors were forced to make their case in front of an immigration judge as the Trump administration ramps up removal proceedings.

That's an under-appreciated impact of #AMOC shutdown, of particular concern given the recent results showing much higher likelihood of this. 1/2

The gas industry’s charade is over.

Australians know we have plenty of gas and excessive exports are the problem.

72% of Australians realise cutting exports is the way bring down energy bills, and just 28% think we need new gas fields.

Before AI, reality and truth had a built-in advantage. That has now gone.
AI is going to be a full-on catastrophe for our shared sense of reality, and for areas in which truth utterly matters (eg climate, pandemics, AI…).
