Increasingly seeing websites (eg Mirror, Independent, Mail) force people to accept cookies unless users subscribe to an “ad-free” service. This pay-for-privacy model surely can’t comply with data legislation?

An ongoing bugbear of AI reporting is treating it like an out-of-the-box single “technology”solving complex tasks as soon as it’s deployed.

The reality: “The company finally solved the problem after 10 years of internally funded research and filed a patent application in September 2019.”
