I've gotten confirmation that NIH COO Eric Schnabel — who started in April — is no longer with the agency and that his deputy is taking over for now.

A source notes the "delicious irony that he was obsessed with security and vulnerability of the campus that he was then escorted off of"
Hearing rumors from multiple sources that NIH COO Eric Schnabel was terminated yesterday for allegedly trying to award a large contract to his wife (who sometimes uses her maiden name) for "public outreach" associated with the autism data science initiative.

UPenn just had $175 million in federal funding cancelled over allowing Lia Thomas to swim 3 years ago.

It's not going to stop until they leverage federal funding to push out trans people from academia entirely. This will extend to bathrooms, curriculum, etc.

The University of Pennsylvania made national headlines in the 2021-2022 school year when Lia Thomas, a trans athlete, competed on the school's women's swim team.

Musk demanded he resign.

He did.

On January 20th.

Why I continue to suggest that everyone who wants to advocate for science should go to NIH RePORTER, look up how much your state and congressional district receive in NIH funding, and write to your corresponding congressperson about it. Research supported by NIH has led more than 100 Nobel Prizes and has supported more than 99% of drugs approved by federal regulators from 2010 to 2019.
But come January, NIH may face a wrecking ball
