Awww, that's tricky in this weather. We initially thought Mollie cat had developed dementia and we had to Mollie-proof everything - she had lost her fear (and common sense) of everything. She'd also become intermittently incontinent. It's hard work, but worth it & I'd do it again to have her back.

Money grabbing and data acquisition by organisations with, at best, dubious history and troubling ambitions. I am sick of hearing 'digital' and 'apps' from this government (especially Streeting). I feel these 'strategies' really are Selling (the UK) By The £.

I've been saying for years that they should evidence their working time / submit timesheets and valid reasons for not turning up to the HoC etc. They are employees of their constituents and as such should receive the same sanctions faced by most employees for poor attendance or conduct.

Oh wow, that's advanced level. My office just used to have a £5 limit from anywhere, but it was just another thing to add to the stress of Christmas (and probably more wasteful landfill tat). I don't have an Amazon account and agree I wouldn't want to make that Bezos nobster any more money.

In my old workplace I made it clear I would not be involved in secret Santa. I got sneered at, but at least on the day I didn't have to join in the bitchfest of who got what and who from. The following year we just all went down the pub instead, which was much more enjoyable.

Thank you. I am on the mend now and yes, it is horrid. I have finally managed to wash my hair today (the rash is on my face and on my scalp). My new best friend is witch-hazel because it has helped to dry out the bisters. 😊

Thank you for the translation. My German is very rusty and although I got the gist, it's great to have a proper translation. This is fascinating and I will look out for Otto Plattner in the future. His work seems to be right up my Straße. 😊

I might be old fashioned, but I would never buy anything from FB etc. If the sellers don't have a presence outside of social media I'm not interested. Even then, I'd use some due diligence. As it goes, I have two FALAA t-shirts bought in 1987 which are now deliciously faded (a bit like me 😉).

I was watching a Sky Arts programme about Bass players this week. It was specifically focusing on Peter Hook (He is why I picked up a bass guitar). However, it also had some interview sound bites from Mani (Mani and Hooky were very good friends). It also had a RIP to Mani at the end.

I've had that today. I'm not sure if they think by spamming me every hour is going to win them some sales. In my case it's just won them an 'unsubscribe' and block. It's like the marketers just lose their minds.
