So, I just wanted to share here as well because it's taken me a few days to wrap my head around it, but I got arrested for the first time this past Wednesday - detained by DHS.
I am privileged, and I was released fairly quickly with a citation for disorderly conduct.

I live here in Los Angeles.
I am resting today because I have completely lost my voice, but I will never relinquish my individual identity or my 1st Amendment rights.
I will be out there when my voice is back.

There were no more than a few dozen protesters out in downtown Los Angeles today during the hours I was there.
There were remnants of civil unrest, and the remains of pepper balls or something similar was blowing around...
But no violence while I was there.
