The work was inspired by classical renaissance oil paintings. A character design sheet for a character named bells. A series of headshots showing her with and without her mask and headpiece, as well as a full body black and white Illustration. Another tarot card, this time “the hanged man”. The card tells the story of a young girl growing up around plague. I wanted to use dramatic colours and negative space to highlight not only the void she felt, but also make the colour of death all the more vivid. A 3D model bust of an original character, Gemma Adichie. This bust showcases modelling complex hairstyles, intricate clothing such as a cravat and spectacles.

Taking the JLPT (Japanese Proficiency Test) today, first time im taking a test of this level in years. I’ve taken past papers and am passing with margin for error, which is nice considering people said the previous paper was harder than usual. Fingers crossed 🤞
