Not sure if this is paywalled, but prepare for a whole lot more legitimised fossil fuel propaganda now that the Libs have caved. www.smh.com.au/business/com...
Thank you for not coaling, Canberra
In this edition of On Background, the National Press Club’s upcoming coal love-in, News Corp’s internal staff dash cams, the A-Leagues’ broadcast race heats up and a poster fight at the ABC.

Dear ABC radio, please have somebody with more expertise than me explain to you why “renewables are the cheapest form of power” and “power prices have gone up in the last years in spite of increased renewables” are not contradictory statements. And why slowing renewables will not bring prices down.

At a certain level of wealth you stop being American, British, French, Russian… you’re part of a transnational club above the laws of any nation. These people move in the same circles and know each other

Epstein was one of them

In some damn fine company here! 🥹 My work’s been included in Best Australian Political Cartoons 2025 - alongside so many artists I’ve admired for years. Huge thanks to Russ Radcliffe for curating another killer annual collection, available now!

Whoohoo! Look what I’ve got! Can HIGHLY recommend these as an excellent Christmas gift for discerning family members or treat for yourself. Bloody love these anthologies. They’re both fantastic entertainment and a great historical resource. Keep the love of political cartoons alive!

This is true! I’ve been meaning to tell you all!
Ideal Christmas gift for your cartoon-fancying aunt/father/brother-in-law/favourite person.
The world goes to shit but we keep drawing. Or vice versa.

The Libs are counting on the idea that they just need to bombard Australians with enough propaganda suggesting renewables cause high power prices, then they can retake power.
Things are going to get pretty nasty I suspect.

The premier needs to give the police new powers to *checks notes* actually use the powers they already have, to prevent the kind of protest that took place on Sunday.
