9-inch by 12-inch collage on white background. Vertical overlapping strips of both printed and hand-decorated papers in colors of light beige, deep yellow orange, and maroon; they run about 80 percent of the length of the white paper background. Papers include a map, printed tissue paper, and a dress pattern. 4 small circular cutouts of vintage black and white photos scattered on top of the colored paper strips of two teen girls, probably from the 1940s or 1950s. Fierce little storm on Wednesday night caused hundreds of these brilliant blue Velella velellas to wash up on the beach in Oceanside on Thursday morning.

Scattered rocks on the sand with a bright blue sea creature called a Velella velella in the middle. It is oval shaped and has small tentacles around the entire edge.

Beachcombing haul from a mini-vacation this week in Oceanside, OR. Mostly small agates (chalcedony) and cool rocks including a nice green jasper, with a few sea-polished shell fragments. #beachcombing #agates #OregonCoast

A dove in flight as a 2-dimensional collage. The watercolor paper dove has been covered in printed light blue and purple paper with tiny hearts and it only shows around the edges. Adhered over the paper is a purple felt bird, embroidered with the word "peace" on the belly and with an iridescent purple flower-shaped bead for an eye. The tail and wing feathers are embellished with 3 layers of wavy colored felt strips of fuchsia, lavender and pink adhered to the purple felt base of the bird.
