A Skadden attorney resigned today, citing the firm’s decision to strike a deal with Trump amid pressure campaign on law firms.

“[I]f my employer cannot stand up for the rule of law, then I cannot ethically continue to work for them,” the former Skadden lawyer, Brenna Trout Frey, wrote on LinkedIn.

Literally NOTHING is safe or secure with this administration - even at the very highest levels of national security. The entire Congress needs to demand Pete Hegseth and his team involved resign immediately.

Solidarity with Canadians. Make it ALL make sense!
Justin Trudeau, "Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada. Their closest partner and ally, their closest friend"

"At the same time, they're talking about working positively with Russia, appeasing Vladimir Putin. A lying murderous dictator"

Trump is too much of a coward to say a bad thing to Putin, yet he dares lecture Zelensky?

Horrific embarrassment for this country. Imagine bullying and threatening Zelensky like this - and in front of the media - after what Ukraine has been through and is still facing. Imagine what it’s like for Zelensky with Trump/Vance when cameras aren’t rolling…#StandWithUkraine

WA friends - we need to get after Rep Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez from our 3rd District to vote NO on the destructive “SAVE” Act that would gut access to voting rights, including for many married women. Apparently she voted for the bill when it first came up in the House. (Thanks Suzi Levine)

Questions we should be asking daily now: “What is there to prevent him (Trump) from simply defying the courts and doing as he pleases? Will the courts’ tiny U.S. Marshal Service arrest the scofflaw president? What will occur if the marshals and the Secret Service square off?”
Forever, the courts have been an important arbiter of what a President can, and can’t do. That is under threat now:

Elon Musk’s role in the Trump administration is unconstitutional.

If the President wants Musk or any other powerful billionaire to have a significant role in running our government, he can and should appoint them as the Constitution requires.

Devastating for the Kennedy family and Kennedy Center (former) board and staff. I can’t think of a worse affront to the living memory of John F Kennedy. Not sure there’s much they can do given federal ownership.
