The most obvious cover-up for "I really thought I'd have come up with a smart answer by now. Oops."

Like, having a clever but bizarre answer to a confusing situation is kind of the whole point of Sherlock Holmes as a character. Ridiculous choice to just deride that premise.

"I don't like to bring this up very often, but, erm, did you make the hippopotamus? Oh, no, that was me wasn't it? Yeah, thought so."

Annoyingly we also have the gospel suggesting that Those Jerks Over There always seem to be inheriting the kingdom ahead of us Righteous & True Believers.

Maybe Horowitz has a bit more investment in the idea of a Bond canon. If there isn't such a canon, into which his novels can fit, they might (shock, horror) seem like just officially approved fanfiction.

- There is a difference between good things and bad things?

And the corollary, as Eddie-Izzard-as-St-Paul put it: "Don't do bad things, only do good things."

They should just open the movie with Bond doing Bond things and breeze past it. Literally no one needs this to be a connected universe, and no one could force it into being one as it is.

This is a guy who thinks his series of stories about a teenage superspy foiling absurd villainous plots is improved by not having "silly gadgets" in it. I am not shocked.

Not to go full Jordan Peterson, but the phrase "what do you mean by *in*?" comes to mind with this stuff.

Which is why an underrated aspect of medieval theology is the discussion of God's presence to creation imo.

Lol. Good to see members of other religions also have the "I have strong opinions on this, but am also not following my own advice" problem.

One good(?) thing about following the Trump stuff is that it shows very clearly how miserable these guys are. They have access to wealth and luxury beyond my wildest dreams... and they're clearly so unhappy! Unbelievable levels of vindication for the psalmist.

The "pastoral, not political" comment really says it all. Why does he think the sacrament is being denied? It's a politics of cruelty.

There's a good retroclone of it called Against the Darkmaster, you should check it out if you haven't already!

What an absurd coward he is. Criticizing the administration isn't going to land him in jail, at worst he'll be invited to fewer fancy events. Such a waste of a mitre.

(Caveat; outsider perspective) This is increasingly looking less like a coherent schism (for want of a less paradoxical term) and more like a collective tantrum. Suspect at least half of these groups will be back in communion with Canterbury before Candlemass.
