Labour are attacking Greens. Fine. I have yet to see any party that has entirely affordable aspirations.

But at least the Greens HAVE aspirations.

Labour have seemingly decided the status quo cannot be touched, even when it doesn't work for 90% of people, or the viability of life on the planet.

It's 25th anniversary of the 1st offshore wind turbine in the UK this week

Offshore wind now provides over 1/6 of UK power

Success was not inevitable, and it continues to be a battle against the fossil fuel industries

Greenpeace UK has been part of the fight

In 25 years, offshore wind power went from niche concept to the backbone of the UK's energy system. But this success wasn't inevitable.

New analysis shows:

That there are now more people alive in the UK that voted Remain in 2016 than those who voted Leave in 2016.

The "will of the people" expressed by direct vote in 2016... has changed.
The majority opposed to Brexit has reached eight million
Ministers need courage to keep it that way

Economy aside, migrants are human beings, and should be treated as such.

🔊 So, once again for the people in the back: migrants aren't the minority group to blame for the UK's worsening inequalities - billionaires are.

The Telegraph is amplifying hate & misinfo again. Here are facts they've ignored:
🟣 Migrants boost the economy
🟣 It's not illegal to seek asylum, nor is one "illegal" when one's asylum is rejected
🟣 If it's legality you're worried about, the US' mass deportations aren't lawful

Just listening to the @LBC news, and it occurred to me - why do they read out the ftse100, and exchange rates, as if these make a difference to the everyday person?

Maybe it’s time to add CO2 levels, or global temperature increase, or climate change deaths, so we’re all more informed?

My free advice to this couple? Instead of paying £47k a year in school fees and scraping by, stick 15k a year in each kid's bank account so that they each have around £100k at age 18 to spend on a house, business or uni. You then have £17k/year leftover to spend on luxuries. Better life all round
