NPR asked for records demonstrating whether ICE is complying with its own policies for using vehicles without plates--and the government has yet to respond. I hope NPR sues to enforce its rights under the Freedom of Information Act.

(A) object, because the rule in English is that sentences end with periods; or,
(B) go along with it, because it's obvious the sentence has concluded because the paragraph has ended?

True, the letter is a modest and unsurprising expression of support for the rule of law (it's Berkeley, after all!). Still, happy Berkeley Law faculty joined those of Harvard and UCLA in issuing a statement. May there be more and more forceful statements to come.

Law schools have an ethical obligation to condemn the Trump Administration's attacks on the rule of law, including its efforts to punish lawyers and firms for their representation of particular clients and its attacks on judges and courts based on disagreement with legal rulings.

It created a national law enforcement accountability database so departments know when job seekers have records of misconduct, it banned federal agents from using the chokeholds that killed George Floyd, and limited the "no knock" warrants that led to Breonna Taylor being shot in her own living room
