Truly awful that a conservation plan was only developed a year after the last documented sighting. The epitome of “too little, too late” and a common refrain in conservation. Like Canada’s northern spotted owls who only got a recovery plan after they were fully extirpated.

Don’t forget about students…we are struggling too. And we don’t qualify for EI when we are trying to find jobs after graduating.

Daily essentials should include pet food and veterinary care. Almost 80% of Canadian households have at least one pet. Veterinary costs have skyrocketed, and it’s estimated that each pet costs an average of $4k per year. We shouldn’t have to pay tax on essentials for our non-human family members.
