The full version of my @trueref.bsky.social challenge post, I wanted to depict a common scene between a few characters. I intended to edit it after the challenge, but decided not to due to spoons.

There is a mix of cuisine: from the center, and going counter-clockwise, there are spring rolls, japchae [Korean glass noodles], jiaozi [Chinese dumplings], pajeon [Korean potato pancakes], and nikujaga [Japanese stew], as well as a small bowl of rice in front of each character. Have you tried adding an application to its Windows Tablet Properties? Windows is an ass when it comes to keeping the mapping consistent, and if it's happening after you've played full-screen games it could because all your applications share the same settings. Screenshots may be redundant, lol.

I have art from the past that is technically amateur but that I look upon fondly, like this drawing I made 2 decades ago of a "big Mexican man" (which I redrew this year).
If you focus on a work's technical details instead of its emotion, I think that's when you start hating everything before it.

It's one of my "drop it and come back to it" drawings. Part of a diptych, I put a *lot* of research into the outfit design [a deity costume]. My favorite part is the face: how the hair/makeup contours their face is *chef's kiss*.
Still trying to figure out how to present the full diptych on here.

Text reads as follows: Zelish (also known as Soloñol or Čeloñol) is a Tito-Hebean language predominantly spoken in Zelos, Aurum City, and Platina. Banner with the heading "Out-of-Conworld Note": Spanish is a very controversial language in these parts (similar to English, and French, and Portuguese too: the language of the colonizers that plagued the Americas). With explicit intent, there are two varieties of Zelish listed: one is the standard, colonizer version, called Enkan Zelish or Čeloñol, and one is the adaptive, "survivor" version, called Enyan Zelish or Soloñol. As you can probably tell from the snark, Čeloñol is based off of Castellan Spanish-- or Spanish that comes from Spain. You can change this language to Catalan, if you really want to, or any other language that comes from Spain for that matter. (If you want to be funny, you can even change it to Romanian, because it's a European language that overlaps with Spanish in word form but not grammar due to both being Romance languages, but I digress.) Soloñol, however, is based off of Latin American Spanish. This can be literally any version of Latin American Spanish that you can think of, but in canon lore the variety spoken in Platina is based off of Carib Spanish. (You can blame the documenter's ethnic background for that.) If you're feeling extra snarky (I know I am), you can change Soloñol to one of the many, *many* indigenous languages across the entirety of the Americas (or just the parts touched by Spain), with a small caveat: some of the established cultures and/or civilizations *are* actually inspired by certain indigenous communities (both living and dead), with those languages having names. (As an example, Aurum City speaks Soloñol, but also the indigenous language of Miyadungun.)

This means that they are coded East Asian, but there's a twist: the seven Iwasaki siblings have three mothers, as their oyaji is polyamorous (four are mixed). Day 7: all of these characters live in Ooshima, an archipelago off the Ceresian mainland. (It's all worldbuilding, baybee!) They are a country of three provinces, allied long ago. These provinces are inspired by China, Korea, and Japan, respectively, including their indigenous! #worldbuilding #art +
A crop of a work-in-progress map of my conworld, showcasing the Ooshiman Archipelago (named here "The Daeseom Islands", as the place is called many names). The archipelago has three larger islands, and a scattering of many smaller islands around them. In the center is the largest island, called "Wolgyeong"; it is slightly moon-shaped, which is where it gets its name from. The name translates into "moon capital" from its Sanja-designated name. Below Wolgyeong, to the south-east, is the island of Toshu, which visually looks like it had separated from the Wolgyeong landmass long ago. The name translates to "east state" from its Shanji-designated name. Above Wolgyeong is the smallest of the three major landmasses, called Anshandao. It is almost shrimp-like in shape, and unlike the other two islands has a lot of little islands scattered around it. The name translates into "peaceful mountain island" from its Shanzi-designated name. Part of the mainland civilizations' names are visible, such as Cánh Tây Nam (another civilization in Ceres) and Ishtar (a civilization in the neighboring contenent of Hebe).

Since Ceresian culture prioritizes community above all else, most-- if not all-- of them focus on the union of families, rather than the union of individuals. It is mostly unheard of for a Ceresian to marry without permission or acknowledgement given by their families, but this does happen-- especially in the case of estranged, traditionalist families, or inter-ethnic pairings. Collapsible box titled "Out-of-Conworld Note": Even though these marriage customs are directly inspired by the traditional wedding ceremonies of the countries used as inspiration for these civilizations, this guide is not 100% based in our reality. This is due to the fact that the Humans in this con-world carried with them their old traditions, and those traditions ended up adapting to the struggles of living on this planet over millennia. (That, and most countries only do Western weddings nowadays, which is boring.) Philosophies may remain, and imperialistic influence might still exist as well. Most of it is accurate to reality, but the "errors" that you see might just be intentional. Be mindful of this!

I saw "music" and I jumped on this fast #LateNightWrite. I have a *lot* of character playlists, and am in the process of moving my Spotify ones to YouTube (because *gestures widely*). It's complex and messy and here are a handful of them. (All vaguely-named on purpose; multi-lingual as all heck.)

They definitely have site maps but it really doesn't hit the same lol That, and you have to depend on its users/web crawlers to categorize the sites decently. Slap "https://web.archive.org/web/sitemap/" before each URL you need to access [yes, even the http] and it might be less infuriating, Idk.
The site map tab for the RareDiseases webpage on the Internet Archive's WayBack Machine, showcasing a multi-layered circle of web content. Each layer is its own "subfolder", and some tower far higher than others. The site map for RareDiseases in particular goes as far back as 1998, and as recent as 2025. It's tabbed to 2024 by default.

His hair is toned black at the roots, gold at the tips, and brown on the rest. I'm not 100% sure if you can do it, but cog wheel on Clip Studio launcher > Location of Materials brings you to the folder hierarchy maze. If it works-- which Idk, might not-- then you do it the old-school modding way: moving out the folders until the damn program works right, then iterating on it.

A sheet of Nami [he/they] busts, with nine busts drawn with model assistance, nine busts drawn free-hand with reference, and ten silly tiny chibi drawings of him shoved in the gaps-- 28 drawings total. Nami is a mixed, coded Japanese-Chinese masc with tan skin and black hair and eyes. The sheet's faces are an attempt at drawing him consistently at different head orientations. Black and white Chinese numbers are put to the left of each bust: the white ones are model-assisted, and the black ones are free-hand. [To make it clearer, model-assisted busts have a thick white border, whereas the free-hand ones have white lines surrounding them.] Little asterisks mark the target looks, which only number in 6. (A 7th asterisk is missing on the chibi between the white 2 and 3). The chibis have him shrugging, winking, pleading, making hand gestures, and emoting in a few different ways. The normal busts have an emotion range between neutral, smiling, or frowning. A snippet from the story Lavender Associates, where Nami makes an entrance. For clarification, Umetarō is the name of their oyaji. Text reads as follows: Some of Tatsu's siblings finally make it to the table, and like Tatsu sit at the end where their oyaji is sitting. First to sit down is the third eldest, Nami, who sits down in such an unconventional way that it causes their oyaji to scoff. Nami points at Tanaka. "Oy, you," they say, "you're not from here, are you?" It takes a few seconds to register to Tanaka that they are being spoken to, and take their eyes off of Tatsu to look at Nami. "How do you figure?" "The way that you wear your *kanfuku* is different, and you look kind of stiff." Nami leans his arms on the back of his chair. "So am I right or nah?" "I suppose you're correct." Nami strokes his chin. "Judging by your body language, you're not going to disclose *what* you are then, eh?" "Perhaps not." A hum, before Nami looks over to Tatsu. Tatsu is somewhat-comfortably stimming with his bracelets, before he looks up at Nami with a very visible frown of irritation. "What are you looking at me for?" Tatsu says, almost growling. Nami flips the chair back to how it's supposed to be just so they can lean back. "You seem pretty content sitting next to a stranger." "They're my *advisor,* you idiot." "Oh: we've yet to be formally introduced, then." "Because you hate being home, just like On-chan." A less-than-scolding grunt comes from Umetarō. Part two of Nami's introduction. The text continues: Sitting properly in the chair, and pegging Tanaka to be an overseas foreigner, Nami holds his hand out to them. "Hey nice to meet you," they say, "I'm Zhōu Língbō." "Are you *trying* to make our *oyaji* mad?" grumbles Tatsu, which leads to Nami laughing. "You're right, you're right!" Nami gives his *oyaji* a small bit of eye contact before bowing. "Sorry, *oyaji,"* he says, with only the subtlest hint of being genuine. He then looks back to Tanaka. "My name is Iwasaki-*Shū* Nami; nice to meet you." "Tanaka-Ueda Kōji," replies Tanaka, and they add a bow to their handshake as compromise. "Nice to meet you." Nami hums as they look at their recently-shaken hand. "Firm grip but soft hands," they say, before looking up at Tanaka. "What an interesting combination." "Tanaka is married," interjects Tatsu, "so don't even think about it." "Think about what, *tousan?"* Tatsu looks back up at Nami with a glare. "Do you know what's holding up the kitchen?" Nami stands up and flips the chair around, marking the seat as his. "I guess I'll go and check," he says. "Don't eat without me." "Take too long and you might lose your chopstick privileges."
