For years I've been too afraid to start working on a personal piece about my fav game of all time, but today I finally started. It'll be incremental, small piece by piece whenever I'm too tired to code and work on Volatile.

In between life stuff I've been slowly rewriting Volatile, the first ever game I started.

Current goal: create a custom collision outline of the player ship, with pre-calculated normals.
Status: about 40% done

Part of re-writing Volatile means I'm gonna have to recreate the font as an actual font as opposed to a .png font. And so here I go!

Every now and then I go back into blender and make adjustments to my 3D model that I use to tinker around in Game Maker Studio 2. I'm starting to become happier with the eyes now. But I do want to add more complexity and finally start unwrapping it.
