I haven't tried Koofr or Sync. I tried Immich but wasn't stoked about the interface and syncing abilities when I used it.

I will add if you are running nVidia gpus my recommendation goes very hard the other way. I've never ran linux on nvidia cards without some form of graphical glitching. The AMD GPU experience is sufficient.

And the syncing just works without intervention when I'm accessing from other devices (which I do frequently). The alternatives I end up having to open the app and wait for it to sync and then it takes a while to refresh and it's a whole to-do.

Unfortunately there has been no great solution for iCloud photos for me anywhere and I suspect iOS is the main problem with using an alternative so I'm going to stick with iCloud photos in a browser I suppose.

Yeah, I tried Owncloud and Nextcloud for a while. I have my own NAS at home so it made since but I don't want the complexity I just want an easy cloud solution so the convenient options end up winning. Dropbox support looks okay so I'm giving it a shot.

Everything I thought I knew about you has been challenged by this new revelation behind your identity.

I say go for it if you're not too self conscious about it. I deal with chronic pain myself and came to terms with doing that over the years. No one even notices the difference when I've done it. I'm pretty chatty and goofy on and off it. As long as streaming isn't adding to your pain I say enjoy!

We've all been there. You'll be in my thoughts.

Been there! So many options all with their own caveats haha

Yeah absolutely. They don't have to be battery powered.

It really does hit so well. The abruptness of it all, the climatic battle that follows, the emotional outburst of our somewhat reserved protagonist. And even with the darkness that precedes it, it marks such a dramatic story shift.

There a lot of fanmade "DX" Gameboy enhancement patches that are really worth checking out as well, highly recommend:
1. Super Mario Land series
2. Mega Man series
3. Kirby Dream Land DX
4. Kid Icarus DX
5. Metroid II DX

There's a great list here www.romhacking.net/forum/index....
