In line to become U.S. citizens, they were asked what country they’re from. If they were from certain countries, they were pulled out of line. Just horrible. The very antithesis of what America is. Every Republican should lose in 2026 bcuz of this. Every single one.👇 www.wgbh.org/news/local/2...

part of the reason i've got such contempt for the doomerism around "they don't think they'll have to win an election again" is that this belief — which i agree some of them hold — critically endangers the entire project, it doesn't strengthen it. they are incapable of shifting strategy or pivoting.
it is actually a major fucking political problem for this administration that they have key decision makers who believe the GOP will never have to win a fair election again

"The Donald Trump administration has changed which holidays qualify for free entrance to national parks, removing two holidays celebrating Black people and adding the president’s birthday."
National parks change prioritizes Trump birthday over days honoring Black people

Cosmically funny that, the American public has had less than a year of uncut republican governance, and they’ve decided that they absolutely hate this shit, spit it out

Consider too that relative to 11 months from now, today may look like the good times, economically and otherwise.
Ds don't seem to be getting what they need out of Nashville. But if the margin lands at R+3, that's a D+19 shift from 2024 -- we're not talking a wave, we're talking tsunami
again @gelliottmorris.com says behn still has a chance but damn 3 points in this district is 🦇💩

and the fact everyone should know by now they aren't course correcting this ship, it's already a cluster not even a full year in. there are literally no adults in charge of anything, so "be best!" cause a lot of people now smell the blood in the water and will ensure 2026 rocks their shit 👀
Buddy, I gotta tell you, if I was a GOP representative, my ass would not feel comfortable watching a 15-point swing in a deeply red district ahead of a midterm where the President has been behaving erratically while consistently growing more historically unpopular.

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

December 3, 2025 at 1:46 AM
it's gonna be below 5% and i would say next year she should come back and run again if she loses and might end up knocking his ass out cause midterms are gonna be insane, think 2018 redux with a notch or two stepped up
