Lackadaisical about social media. I’m here for weird Anglicans, theology, fountain pens, books, cats, and memes. Big Bend enthusiast. Seminarian (go Thuribulls!) and postulant to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church. She/her.
Aw, yiss

I visited a different local parish for the baptism of a dear friend's son (and to become a godparent!). The hymns were bangers today. Top notch all around.

Semiarian here, and my seminary is having active conversations about it, both in the curriculum about its presence in future ministry, and about institutional policies about it. Interestingly, faculty seem more favorable to it than the students are by a wide margin.

Today was my first time preaching in a parish. I was extremely nervous, and it went like...a first sermon in a parish. In other words, church today was awesome!

There's a Japanese grocery near me that has opened my eyes to good rice. I usually buy Calrose, though - it's good and not prohibitively expensive where I am.

I'm so happy for you!

Just wonderful. An ordinary Sunday that was surprisingly healing in an intense weekend.

I appreciate it - the seminary is really taking steps to make sure we have support and ways to process, which I am grateful for.

Thank you so much.

It's a heavy day on campus. Prayers for healing for the seminary and community are very welcomed.

Seriously, they need to just stop it.

I do think we need an aesthetically pleasing flat lay photo. You know, for science.

Church was so good today. It was my first Sunday at my field ed parish, and it was children's mass today, so the kids were the lectors, ushers, crucifers, and chalice bearers. I also met so many people whose names I will not remember next week (thank goodness for name badges).

Today is the last Sunday before I begin at my field ed parish, the last Sunday of being a regular parishioner anywhere (and I am so excited). I spent it catching up with seminary friends as everyone comes back to campus and doing some deep cleaning before classes start.

Today was a virtual visit to my sending parish, wearing pajamas and sipping an oat milk latte. It's the last few weeks before classes and field ed start, and I'm savoring a bit of laziness.
