Once we started working together, progress happened so much faster. We’ve already reached important milestones (e.g., check out the HarvestStat Africa database: lnkd.in/eJbCvdMZ).

HarvestStat is our model for solving the problem.

It’s about (1/2):
• Complete, high-quality subnational data worldwide
• Open access and FAIR principles
• Standards for harmonization & validation
• Deep collaboration & inclusion of local expertise

We worked for years to bring those data together. But each of us only got so far. And our efforts remained disconnected, uncoordinated, redundant, and lacking shared standards.

That’s a problem.
