I don't understand the Minecraft subreddit, I just want to see cool builds and stuff, but every post there is about people losing their hardcore world or their pets dying or their base burning down or whatever. It's a tar pit of a place and I don't get what people are getting out of it.

Did I miss the point of Super Size Me when I saw it in high school like 7 years ago? I thought the message wasn't that eating 4000 calories of McDonalds is bad for you, but that there are people out there who actually eat 4000 calories of McDonalds per day. But nobody else sees it that way?

Now that the Need for Speed series is probably dead, is now a good time to bring up that all of the "golden era" Black Box games were just copying The Fast & The Furious, and when that went downhill they had no idea how to maintain relevance. Like, even the BMW is just a copy of that Nissan Skyline.

There's something really funny to me about Estonians making a fictional version of Tallinn the center of the universe. It would be like if I made a game with Portland as the capital of the world.

Honestly the fighting-game aspect of Pokemon is like its weakest part for me. I would probably like Pokemon more if it just focused on either catching/breeding creatures or the RPG aspects.
It is kind of funny that Pokemon is just needlessly complicated rock-paper-scissors attached to a JRPG for kids and it's like the world's biggest video game in terms of revenue
