“Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says Canada recently losing its measles elimination status is concerning, but her government might not have many options on the table to help get it back.” Pretty amazing how evergreen this is for our Premier and her Gov’t .

Honestly, the funniest thing about this is that over the past 50 years, there have been more Republican presidents who were male cheerleaders than those who have been in combat.
Three Republican presidents were male cheerleaders in college: George W. Bush at Yale, Ronald Reagan at Eureka, and Dwight D. Eisenhower at West Point.

I'll wait for the GOP to comment on that, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

James Van der Beek has colorectal cancer? Didn't know that.

Get beans and oatmeal and leafy greens into your diet, folks. A friend of mine died at 41 from colon cancer.

It's not for the elderly. More and more people under 50 are getting it, and lifestyle can change that.

“They want to create some confusion around who gets to vote, and to limit the electorate in a way that advantages the government.”

Voters should choose governments, not the other way around.

This is a bad law, plain and simple.

This is happening in real time, tonight. Danielle Smith is actively dismantling #Alberta. Why has she been able to get this far? She needs to be stopped. 😐
I know there’s a lot going on tonight (Go Oilers), but just as the game starts, the UCP will start ramming through two very troubling bills and will end all further debate.

Among other things, Bill 54 includes a series of awful undemocratic election reforms and Bill 55 allows for private hospitals.

Smith failed to mention that oil production is at record highs in Alberta, but did imply federal policies are killing Albertans and their families. God, it was disingenuous. All separatists are, by definition, traitors to their country.

Why indeed. Yeesh.

🚨🚨🚨This is a super-dangerous proposal. Attempting to circumvent the Charter under any circumstances is a major red flag. Like what the US is experiencing, once you start bending/breaking rules for certain people groups, it's very easy to do it for *everyone*. This proposal should be a career-ender.
Whoa, Poilievre's announcement today:

He would invoke the notwithstanding clause to overturn a Supreme Court ruling and make sure multiple murderers die in prison.

This would make him the first prime minister to override the Charter using the notwithstanding clause.

It boggles the mind how Premier Smith can take a harder line stance against the prime minister of her own country than the president of an enemy nation.

If she's unsure who is the bigger threat, her advisors have failed all Albertans miserably.
