🟣 November is Pancreas Cancer Awareness Month 🟣
It’s hard to tell family about a #BRCA defect. Some shrug it off; a few angry & incommunicado from fear of #pancreaticcancer. Sadly, there is a history of young-onset breast & ovary cancer & pancreatitis. I meet them where they are, & hope they test.

Pancreatic cancer got four close male #BRCA relatives. Breast and ovarian got many more women in the family. Prophylactic surgeries and monitoring are saving my children’s lives, and their children’s and cousins.

Too often we forget that history is, first & foremost, a story. Not just an arbitrary chronological timeline of events.
I've learned more history from podcasts on historical STORIES than entire semesters of lectures on events & dates. I remember the dates because of the stories attached to them.

One thing I am very worried about, but not seeing a ton of reporting is the politicization of the military. Look for:
*Changes in military education, lecturers and courses threatened/removed
*Tribunal to purge senior officers
*Much more frequent hold on military promotions by politicians
