Read an article recently re home insurers are not accounting for risk from climate change. TL;DR the opinion stated was before 2030 housing market is going to collapse in places like FL, CA, and TX because people won't be able to afford to insure those homes.

We should look at Germany or Japan. Canada's system hinges on family doctors and then doesn't pay family doctors a living wage while piling more and more unpaid work on them.

Much of political commentary these days is just people sifting through mountains of available factlettes for the ones that can be used to construct an argument for their priors.

As someone who spent many years working for a company with ineffective performance processes, few were term'd in any other way except layoff. Of course, we'd also keep underperformers around so that layoffs didn't hurt the team as much. All of it is gross, when you stop to consider.
