Seattle Area, hit me up, let’s get some food and chat science!
There are a few other things I would like to know, but I don’t have the patience to type and proofread at all right now

Leave it to me to notice these things so easily lol. Science changes you man, you become much more attentive and detail observant

it must be noted that my comparison may be off because the breading may have compacted in the last units of last year‘s batch. However, I am extremely certain the breading is substantially different, partly cuz the exterior is far lumpier this year than it was in all of the packages from last year

And also the breading has a much more airy formulation which indicates something about the changes in the use of baking soda since that’s the only leavening agent here. All in all def a better taste albeit for less value and bang for buck

The breading is much looser and much thicker, meaning that the fig filling inside is less in volume (which arguably means you get less value from these bars since the fig filling is the most expensive part, but at the same time I actually like this balance more because I prefer more breading anyway)

source for that 17%: www.cbpp.org/research/foo...

imagine if even 10% of those service worker snap recipients turned to crime to get extra money literally to just afford food.

have you any idea how much more crime that could be???

I heard this shutdown described as "intentionally cruel" and "much meaner" compared to all other shutdowns.

Yet still somehow, Louisiana (again one of the most red ass states ever) still supports SNAP--the most liberal, bluest, socialist filth that repubs want to axe.
November 4, 2025 at 7:31 PM
lemme emphasize that again.

Louisiana, one of the most die-hard, only-thing-redder-than-blood-is-how-republican-the-state-is, southern states, managed to put in one of the most aggressive SNAP funding because they still managed to care about their fellow Louisianians.

LOUISIANA.

Solo piano music can be real hit or miss, but the song title immediately strikes me as far more captivating with its possible meanings and interpretations.

Even the title on its own has many possibilities and meanings.

@leonhardrat.bsky.social @nexjql.bsky.social this was in Python with matplotlib lol

R and ggplot likely can do the same plot, but honestly the secret to making it all work was order of operations and data processing.

If I check into the hospital over the weekend, I will definitely suggest a delayed stomach infection with listeria lol.

No illness yet on my side, but that certainly doesn’t necessarily mean my peaches were clean/not infected.
