Impeach and remove. This could not be more urgent. Trump and company have declared war on the American people. He has made clear that nobody can safely disagree with him while he remains in power.
Before press came in — but while live feed was running on Bukele’s feed — Trump said to him: “home-growns are next. … You’re gonna need to build about 5 more places.”

The stripping of secret service details from officials Trump wants to get revenge on is like a slow motion Night of the Long Knives. 😡

I haven't posted here much. But I turn to you now because I am trying to figure out how to cope with the new, horrifying political reality. This week I have been an ostrich with my head in the sand, so as not to see the onslaught of cruelty, hubris, and misinformation coming every day. 1/2

This is an excellent blog post about Tarnschriften (Hidden Writings) during the Nazi era and how they are again salient.

Alas, this is me, too. :(
Me: I will just relax for a few minutes by playing a mindless game on my phone

Phone: Cool, every 90 seconds you will just need to watch a little animated snuff film featuring a mother and child freezing to death, or a king slowly being crushed against a spiky wall by piles of falling rubble

I was listening to @laist.com and Larry Mantle had a segment on what TV shows people want to see rebooted. I called in to say that I wanted to see a reboot of Quincy, ME, but with a woman as Quincy. He took the call. It was epic. Maybe someone in Hollywood heard? 😅

This is my district -- the tightest house race in the US! Really happy that the Democrat, Tran, has just pulled ahead of his Republican opponent. A tiny ray of sunshine in the gloom... www.latimes.com/politics/sto...
Just 102 votes separate candidates in nation's closest House race, with more ballots to count
Democrat Derek Tran is leading Republican Rep. Michelle Steel by 102 votes in what's become the tightest House race in the nation.
