A Changemaker from Hong Kong | Exiled Elected Councillor | @hkdc_us | Founder @v4hk_uk @HongKongMarch
At #OsloFreedomForum this year.
It started with activism—and became something deeply personal.
In exile, I finally paused, healed, and found chosen family.
Resilience isn't just for movements. It's for us too.
Endless thanks to HRF, CANVAS & all who made the Freedom Fellowship possible.

Still unclear whether China & Hong Kong will be placed on FIRS's enhanced tier. One obvious reason is exactly as what @danjarvismp.bsky.social said yesterday—to create transparency around the influence of foreign powers in the UK.

Welcoming UK Home Office’s first step in recognising transnational repression as a distinct threat through new guidance for TNR targets. Glad to see potential risks of travelling abroad also noted.
Looking forward to further action ahead.

Pls sign our petition calling on the UK government to specify China under the Enhanced Tier of the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme.
It would require registration of arrangements/activities carried out in the UK by China-controlled/directed entities.

We thank US Gov for finally taking this long-overdue step in response to the HK$1 million bounties and arrest warrants issued against me and 18 other pro-democracy Hong Kongers. Looking forward to seeing other allies’ actions.

Bounty-hunt me and get rewarded $1 million💰
1/ Last week, my MP Joshua Reynolds told me that my neighbours received anonymous letters encouraging them to “take me to the Chinese Embassy” to bounty-hunt me. The Parliament had an UQ on it yesterday secured by @aliciakearns.bsky.social

Thank @aliciakearns.bsky.social for securing this UQ on my bounty. After being wanted on 24 Dec, 3 members of my distant family was interrogated in HK, anonymous letters sent to my neighbours to encourage bounty-hunt, and I have been constantly receiving death & rape threats.

Turning 30 today!

Life hasn’t gotten easier, and the world has only grown more challenging. At times, we stumble, but we remain resilient in the face of what lies ahead.

Aging gracefully.

As I was commemorating the first anniversary of Alexei Navalny’s assassination with my activist friends, I was announced another distant family member of mine was taken by the nat. security police for interrogation.

1/Last Saturday, 4,000 people protested at the Old Royal Mint in London against China’s mega-embassy plan, with support and attention not only from oppressed groups but also from broader allies—a rare and significant moment.

We told the Prime Minister not to approve the Chinese Super-Embassy plan, citing 4,000 protesters last Saturday. We raised concerns for the 1,900+ political prisoners in Hong Kong. Not a festive LNY reception, and I’m pretty sure we won't be invited again, but we had to speak out.

Concerned about excessive police force at today's protest. We were peaceful—an officer lost his temper, snatched slogan boards & beat people with them. Many were threatened, shoved & pulled into the police wall. One arrestee had his head slammed on the ground—in a HK popo's way. Cr. IG/rightonwhite

LONDON CALLING📢
Final call if you are in London this weekend, join us as we stand up against the mega hub of TNR.

This protest with Tibetans, Hong Kongers, Uyghurs, Taiwanese, Chinese dissidents, and many other affected communities will send a strong message that we will not back down.

In Anna Kwok’s testimony for Select Committee on CCP, she laid out clearly these well-organised assaults driven by thugs, United Front agents and PRC officials.

Either or not it will happen at Royal Mint Court, worth to understand these potential threats.

Heads up—A counter protest is likely to happen on Saturday. POV when we were surrounded by counter protesters during APEC week in San Francisco. The massive flags, at least 2m height, were used to cover perpetrating, assaults and violence. The metal flag poles were for attacking.

A lot is happening this Saturday, but there’s only one place to be—Join Hong Kongers, Tibetans, Uyghurs, Taiwanese, and Chinese, 2pm, at Royal Mint Court to protest against the Chinese #SuperEmbassy. Bounties won’t silence me. Fear will subside when we stand together. JOIN US.
February 6, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Really can’t see any good the Chinese Super-Embassy plan would do. Letting in an abuser, a perpetrator and a dictator to a mega mansion in exchange of £6b deal is disproportionate.
Our Saturday protest is mentioned by @phelimkine.bsky.social @politico.com

Even though the Hong Kong government has placed a HK$1 million bounty on each of us, we stand firm to defend our freedom from fear. Join us at Royal Mint Court this Saturday, 8 February, at 2 PM.

Despite MI5 warning of security risk, Met Police citing safety concerns, Tower Hamlets Council raising objections & ongoing protests, UK Gov is turning a blind eye, and is about to greenlight this Chinese super-embassy—welcoming Beijing’s long arm onto British soil.
February 4, 2025 at 1:44 PM
HKDC is joining forces with UK-Hong Kongers and our Tibetan, Uyghur, Taiwanese and Chinese allies, and will gather next Saturday, 8 February, at 2:00 pm in London, outside the Royal Mint Court, to protest against this proposed new site for the Chinese Embassy.

Join us!
