Cranking the #bognershiva "clean" channel gets a pretty cool "vintage non-master-volume" vibe, so I thought, "How would it sound to play bass through the head and run from the load box to a bass cab simulator in the computer?". Drum lessons at #schoolofrockchia continue with “Sweet Child o’ Mine”. The dramatic ornaments and crescendos in the intro and elsewhere are OK, but deceptively simple kick drum pattern and little fills in the verse are severely testing my motor skills. 😅

The “restringing is way overdue” project continues today with “non-humbucker” guitars, including the #squierstratocaster . Guitar snobs look down on Squiers, but this is a solid little guitar. 👍 The original pickups were, admittedly, replaced with cool, locally made ones from #marateaguitarworks 😎

#newpedalday! The #catalinbread Skewer is clearly aimed at Richie Blackmore fans, though I got it to feed my #martinbarre tonal fantasies. 😎 Like the original Hornby Skewes treble booster, it’s picky about placement and super noisy! 😅 might drop a noise gate pedal behind it.
