Some big seas expected over next few days, first into the West on Thursday and then Southwest on Friday night into Saturday. Bad timing too as we have high tides this week so risk of coastal flooding. Don’t park in car parks that are known to flood on the coast, like Salthill!

First day of winter today and it’s a mild start with no sign of any real significant cold or snow for at least next 10 days. This day 2010 was very different with deep snow in Tullow as my photos show.

Rainfall totals forecast for the next 7 days shows a big variation across weather models. The GFS weather model has very high totals for parts of South and East but thankfully other models have far less. An unsettled week of weather to come.

Windchill making it feel a lot cooler today with scattered heavy showers but also good sunny spells.
November 28, 2025 at 1:43 PM
The bad news is that bad of rain this morning is heavier and bigger than forecast, the good news is that it is moving a little quicker than forecast but take care out there as it is rough.
