¿No estás convencid@?

¿Te animas a dominar tus datos? #DataViz #RStats #GestiónDeDatos

Our DACWIRE project on drought adaptation of crop wild relatives is thriving! Plants are growing very well. We've just inaugurated a new drought exclusion facility. We've also started measuring plant traits @iicg-urjc.bsky.social @biodiversosurjc.bsky.social #DroughtAdaptation #CropScienc #DACWIRE

Genomic analyses identified 36 outlier SNPs between the control and gene flow lines, associated with differences in flowering onset, seed weight, and shoot growth.
March 7, 2025 at 9:18 AM
All gene flow-derived lines flowered significantly earlier than the control lines from the northern populations. Gene flow line plants produced heavier seeds and had lower shoot growth compared to the northern control lines.
March 7, 2025 at 9:15 AM
We used pollen from southern individuals to pollinate northern plants, creating an F1 gene flow line to advance flowering onset. F1 plants self-pollinated to create an F2 self-pollination line. We also created a backcross line by pollinating control northern plants with pollen from F1 plants.

A month after planting, the plants are still growing. In the meantime, we are adjusting the irrigation for the drought-controlled experiment. #DACWIRE #cropwildrelatives #climateadaptation

The work in preparing the seeding has been great. We have reached 90% germination and the plants look great. #DACWIRE #cropwildrelatives #climateadaptation

Within the scope of the #DACWIRE project about #cropwildrelative conservation we have developed a workshop on seed conservation in the facilities of the www.urjc.es. We had a great time with the students of the different degrees of the URJC.

Third year of #DACWIRE project on drought adaptation of #cropwildrelatives. This month we have launched two key experiments that will allow us to detect drought adaptation in Lupinus.
