Decades ago, I found these in a dark, dank, used-magazine shop behind the arse-end of Port Authority. I have seen one in the wild since ($$$$$). I've created digital files & offering on my website& my Etsy (StudioShopNYC) If you love #vintagefashion from the 1950s. These are just gorgeous!

Been busy so finally getting around to posting this finished project - client was thrilled with his new black leather jacket- custom made to fit his 6"8" frame. It's his new go jacket. Now gotta get back to work- 2 coats and 3 more jackets in the pipeline- 2 for another Big and Tall dapper guy!

A client was inspired by the jacket Bono wore at the Sphere shows - "but make it fancy". He's a bit of a showman...
Reference grabs of the oversized or overlong leather jacket worn by Bono at the Sphere shows. Rendering of the long leather jacket requested by 6'8" Client - there may be minimal changes along the way, but this is basically it! An iridescent beetle green women's shearling coat with black interior custom made by Carla Dawn Behrle A bespoke 3 piece pin-striped leather suit. The pinstripes have all been individually stitched onto the cut pieces of leather to match throughout. It's a tiny niche these days. Hand-made, expensive, exacting and long lasting work that celebrates & highlights an individual's style and being. Making wearable happiness, confidence, armour & comfort all at once, is what I love to do.
"Theda" is a bias-cut leather wedding gown, hand-made by Carla Dawn Behrle of over 10,000 pearl white leather "coins" with tiny pink leather roses as trim. Worn with a leather trimmed blush pink veil and silk chiffon lining. Commissioned for a wedding on Alcatraz Island Hand made and hand perforated black leather suit for Bono, by Carla Dawn Behrle. A rich russet Leather "Shaft" Inspired coat for a 6'8" private client. Lined in 4-ply purple silk satin. Designed and made by Carla Dawn Behrle A custom made futuristic women's Leather suit, featuring pants with cutaway back and a corset-fitted vest with removable sleeves.
