Today, I stood with our teachers & librarians as schools & local govts brace for massive cuts under SB 1—the so-called “property tax relief” bill. Unfortunately, SB 1 delivers little or no relief for property taxpayers. It’s a bait and switch.

I offered an amendment to restore comprehensive reproductive healthcare & shared Ember’s heartbreaking story of ending her pregnancy under devastating circumstances. The extra pain, cost & indignities she suffered as a result of Indiana’s extreme abortion ban are heartbreaking and infuriating.

Last week = Org Day - ceremonial 1st day of 2025 #inleg. Also enjoyed serving on 3 panels: IN Library Federation, IN Conference for Women’s leadership program & IU Indy’s Bulen Symposium on American Politics. I’m so ready to unplug for Thanksgiving. It’s time to enjoy family & count my blessings.
