I used to work for National Guard & watched them for over a decade build up a proud new reputation as always ready warfighters on par with Big Army and not just weekend warriors. It’s a shame to watch all that hard work and well-earned recognition be tanked by a draft dodger and wannabe dictator.

The safety of the people of Illinois is always my top priority.
There is no emergency that warrants the President of the United States federalizing the Illinois National Guard, deploying the National Guard from other states, or sending active duty military within our own borders.
