The goal is to more efficiently use the concept of 'beauty' as a weapon and transform anxiety into gold.

Oh wow @dogcatcher4.bsky.social it's actually happening in London too! Only just realised. It's winding down now, nearly 7pm here. I'll keep an eye out for future ones.
HAPPENING NOW: The worldwide "Hands Off!" rallies are already underway at Trafalgar Square in London 👇🏻

This 🧵 is everything.
People who are looking for a way to fight Trump, I have it for you in one name: Kilmar Abrego-Garcia.

He's the poor guy who got pulled off the street, declared a gang member for no reason, then sent off to that hell-hole in El Salvador.

Fight for him because this case will unravel everything. 🧵

(NOT satire despite name)

Orange arsehole thinks he's king of the world now. He'll be sorry he fucked with the French. Where does he think Canada gets her elbows from? Not from Mummy England; not if Starmer is anything to judge by. Those elbows come from Daddy France.

Flatten him, Monsieur Macron.

This became a 🧵 and a half. The perils/perks of skeeting while waiting for the ADHD meds to kick in.
My voting priorities

At the last general
1 never Reform
2 never Tory
3 Green if they can win the seat
4 Labour by default if not
5 LibDem OK but enabled Tories

Now
1 never Reform
2 never Tory
3 never Labour
4 Green/LibDem, whichever is stronger in my constituency, the LibDem stance on Trump is 🔥

I have considered myself an amateur history nerd all my adult life. I love how there are always more tangents to follow, always more connected stories to learn. This year I'm learning that I enjoy history a lot more when it's actually in the past, and not in the making.

My politics haven’t changed but the parties have. Tories and now Reform? Detritus. Labour? The biggest disappointment so far despite being a long term voter. Lib Dems or Green are now most appealing. I’ll say again. My politics haven’t changed.

It's early days for me here and my skeets don't get much reaction so I'm not sure they're even showing to my few followers - not a complaint. I'm here more to read/reply than make content.

But I'd really like to get this message 'out there'. If this reaches you, please give the below a reskeet. Ty.
Folks, I know we all love trashing on the radiant Vivian Wilson's disappointing bio-donor, but.

Can we please not post screencaps of tweets in which he deadnames Vivian? Or at least scrub over the deadname before posting the screencap? 1/2

America was Regina George. We admired her and we resented her. We dreamed of becoming her. We hated her for looking down on and dismissing all the rest of us. She dominated everything. She was beauty and cruelty and inspiration and stupidity at all once, and we could not imagine a world without her.

A little ray of hope here, I think. A breakdown of the timeline so far in the court case about Trump's regime trafficking groups of unidentified people to a gulag in El Salvador. Reassurance that although the court system feels frustratingly slow, Boasberg is moving things along as fast as possible.
I've gotten some comments about how this isn't going fast enough or it's a long time-line, so I want to provide some more context. If the point is that our legal system is ill-equipped to handle this kind of bad faith misconduct, fully agree. But this has been lightning fast.
Judge Boasberg says that DOJ submitted their ex parte filing, which continues to evade his order. He has now ordered them to show cause why they did not violate his TRO by March 25.

This is the next step to finding someone in contempt.
March 21, 2025 at 12:15 PM
And just like that, the conversation is now about whether MAGA can impeach Boasberg or not.

I am looking and looking for information about what happens next about the unidentified US residents who have been deported to a foreign gulag, and I'm not seeing it.

The discourse is already moving on.

I didn't even know Stewart Lee was writing opinion articles until I stumbled across this in my feed today. Is that because I was largely opting out of the loop of UK political discourse between Brexit and Trump Strikes Back, or because of algorithms? Probably both. I share Lee's despair.

Today I had the privilege and delight of visiting a cat I fostered back in 2021, after she was discovered in a garden shed with a litter of eight kittens, one of whom had already died or been stillborn.

This is Snowy, in her forever home where she's been living her best life for three years now.

Putting out a call for some enterprising Canadian to start selling this on merch but redesigned as a Canada goose. I'd buy the hoody, the mug, the stickers, the whole enchilada. Take my British pounds away from me. I crave only the defiant goose.

I've hit season 4 on my #DS9 rewatch and just watched ep3, The Visitor. It's always been one of my favourites but it hit a lot deeper this time around. I last rewatched DS9 about 8 years ago and I lost my dad 3 years ago, having lost my mum a decade before that. So this was Very Oof. 🧵

If you ever find yourself saying to your concerned loved ones "Please don't worry, I know this sounds scary but honestly I absolutely know my partner would never hit me," then you are already being abused by your partner.

The same principle now applies to political leaders, apparently.

Musing on my own tendency to let this cycle repeat for way too long before the necessity of booting my partner off a cliff finally dawns on me. Just divorce things.

The unedited Kirk would never have extended his hand to this dweeb more than once.

I gotta figure out how to be more Kirk.
