Yes! I read too many political books and follow too much real world chaos, my fiction needs to be a cozy escape that still has a mystery to solve! I was a civil engineer in the public sector but am home with my kids for a bit and am sure glad I got out of the public sector when I did!!

Disgusting and heartbreaking. 💔 Ironically all the antivaxxers I know were vaccinated as children. Now middle-aged with no longterm vaccine damage to themselves yet they still believe all this garbage.

I struggle with anxiety but my mind still needs to solve mysteries when I read without it ending up with me checking behind my shower curtain for murderers every day. 😂 So cozy mysteries it is. I may have always been this way. I loved watching Matlock and Diagnosis Murder as a child lol.

Agree. Yes I’d prefer we do things like tax the rich and provide healthcare that is not tied to employment (speaking as someone who was a child of poverty). But we haven’t been electing the majorities to do that, so this is something we can actually do on our own.

That was exactly how it was with me and my best guy friend in college. He was adamant that it was all true. 🙄

And I had friends and family that believed it wholeheartedly. We had lengthy debates about WMDs. I should have seen MAGA coming based on that alone.

Then screwing over parts of my project and more importantly, his own Transportation Sec due to his weird run for President. And finally replacing said secretary with some incompetent upholstery magnate/mayor of Superior with zero knowledge on transportation or anything else. Ugh.

I learned everything I needed to know about SW when I worked as an engineer at WisDOT. First, notifying us of intent to eliminate our unions and changing our healthcare/pensions by sending us an email on Friday afternoon. (Whatever you think of Act 10, a Friday afternoon email was a shit move.)

Proud to be a longtime member of the party that defends people of all walks of life and stands up to the bully. If you call that pushing too hard on culture war issues, fine. But if the bullies are gonna keep starting these culture wars against innocent people, I hope we always fight back.

And sloppy and autocratic bc only he can tear down traditional, elitist gov’t. But what happens when everyone else does the same? What happens when nobody, at any level, gives a sh*t about democracy or the Constitution?
